Background
Vedas was founded in 1999 to address five major challenges faced by Telecommunications equipment designers:1. Studying the solution feasibility and designing a wide range of market dependent products that ensure to our
customers an instant transition to the Next Generation Broadband Access Networks and business success,
starting from old fashioned Pair Gain Systems, xDSL’s toward to Optical Network solutions;
2. Integrating FPGA-SoC and IP cores to speed time to market and achieve broader functionality, keeping the bill of
material and physical dimensions of equipment low as possible and as consequence, increasing the yield of
particular product during the production phase;
3. Reducing the total power consumption of equipment at market leading low available level, thus making them as
green products, using most advanced technology and State of the art solutions and thereby, allowing remotely
powered equipment solutions.
4. Verifying designs to ensure high quality and reliability under different environmental conditions and at industrial
temperature range before releasing them to manufacturing.
5. Adapting constantly all of four tasks above in order to achieve lowest possible final price of equipment to keep our
customers competitive and on the same time, keeping high-end features as well.
Vedas holds full or partial Copyrights Claims on much Access Network equipment, transmission systems and FPGA
SoC designs as well, with international references and there are some of them:
- Compressed four channel CO & RT ,remotely powered POTS multiplexer over ISDN and using ADPCM - QMX TM.
- World-first five, full channel remotely powered POTS multiplexer over HDSL with own FPGA SoC voice and signaling framer for both CO & processor-less RT equipment and consequently up to 12 channel derivative - FCM TM.
- One of the world-first five channel CO & RT, remotely powered ISDN multiplexer over HDSL BAV 50 TM-
- World-first , up to 16 channel CO & RT, flexible configurable POTS, VOIP and data, over up to 4 SHDSL lines, remotely powered micro DSLAM, with own FPGA SoC voice, data and signaling framer for both CO & RT equipment - EMX TM.
- World-first, up to 8 channel, remotely powered, full featured “triple-play” , ADSL2++, optical DSLAM with WireMuxTM, complex FPGA SoC, extremely low power solution inside - MiniMSAN TM.
Vedas designs are used in world-wide recognized, our customers products for Telecom companies in over 75 countries and with more than six million of POTS, VOIP, data and IPTV ports delivered. The current globe coverage is presented on the map bellow:
