WireMux™8 is the comprehensive, complete hardware, eight channel, high end, low price, extremely low power solution, designed to support all flavors of ADSL broadband aggregation, up to ADSL2++, on IP-DSLAM line cards.

WireMux™8 provides system designers with an extreme flexible platform for value added services such as  “Triple (Quadruple) Play”, with its extensive capabilities for Ethernet packet handling, manipulating, considering QoS as well.

WireMux™8 with its state-of-the art FPGA SoC
solution provides protocol stack support for current and evolving network protocols, using low cost Xilinx™’s Spartan6™ family FPGAs and low cost external SRAM.

Combined with third party ADSL(2,2+,2++) solutions, high performance, low cost, extremely low power, remotely powered, customer specific line card system solutions are now possible.

  • Downstream, upstream MAC, black-white list filtering, Ethernet type, VLAN replacement-filtering, stacked VLAN filtering
  • Per port, VPC, VLAN, QinQ and Ethernet type, flexible tag inserting-striping, MAC in MAC support, queuing, shaping in 1kbit/s step and on the wire speed
  • Max. downstream throughput of 800 Mbps and upstream of  400 Mbps,considering 64 Bytes packets and real time packet classification-manipulation
  • Complete hardware solution allowing low end uC application, reducing a total power consumption and BOM
  • Custom version and adaptation to customer needs possible

  • Power Supply: 1.2 V core, 3.3V I/O and memory
  • Power consumption: < 1.5W, including external SRAM
  • Placed on 484 pin BGA package(19x19 mm)
  • Other packages and/or pin-out adapted to customer needs possible
